Playing at Grand Haven

Grandpa and Grandma "Minnesota" (as Ella and Nathan call them) arrived in Michigan last Tuesday and boy have we had fun having them around. Who knows if I was supposed to be doing that much activity, but we did it anyways. We walked around the Coast Guard festival in Grand Haven on Wed. night and then Thursday, we checked out the Zoo. Saturday, we went to Tunnel Park and had a picnic with some of Tim's family and my parents. Sawyer has been so good and just goes with the flow when we go somewhere! He has been such a good baby. Unless he has some "gas" issues, he really doesn't fuss at all. He does great at nursing and we can already tell his face is starting to fill in. Having my parents here is wonderful. So nice to have extra hands to help and entertain. Ella and Nathan have had nothing but attention since Sawyer has been born. We'll see what happens next week, when they are stuck with just their mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My dad left on Sunday for Minnesota, but my mom is here till this coming Sunday. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!! We have gotten several visitors and feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. We'll keep the updates coming!

Tim and Alissa,
It is so fun watching your family grow! I am glad Sawyer is a good baby for you. Enjoy these years. They go by so fast!
When Heidi was little she would call my parents "grandpa and grandma Sota". She couldn't quite get out Minnesota. So, then all the girls called them that for years and years. It was really cute! Of course, Grandpa and Grandma Van Dyke lived here at that time so that is how she kept the grandpas and grandmas straight.
Have fun!
